Ayushman CAPF (Central armed police forces) Scheme

The Ministry of Home Affairs & the National Health Authority jointly provide cashless healthcare services to the serving CAPF personnel and their dependents through the Ayushman CAPF scheme. The convergence between Ayushman Bharat and CAPF is a first-of-its-kind initiative leveraging the strengths of the existing robust IT framework, portability of services across the country, and access to the network of various private hospitals. Ayushman CAPF scheme provides cashless healthcare services to the on-service CAPF personnel from all seven forces, viz. Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Security Guard (NSG), and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and their dependents. Ayushman CAPF scheme provides cashless treatment and diagnostics facilities at the empaneled hospitals upon referral from the CAPF / government Hospitals / CGHS wellness center.

Necessary documents and process for treatment under Ayushman CAPF scheme-

  • Ayushman CAPF e-card by the respective forces. 

  • Activation of the card is mandatory (The card may be activated at any CAPF empaneled hospital. Activation of the card will take approx 7 to 15 days.)

  • Patient ID Any (AAdhar Card, Pan Card, etc.)

  • For Planned treatment (OPD/IPD), a referral is mandatory.

*In Emergency cases, a referral is NOT mandatory for private HCOs (empaneled or non-empaneled).

+ What is pmjay CAPF?

The Ministry of Home Affairs & the National Health Authority have joined a joint initiative called the Ayushman (CAPF). Under this project, the staff/personnel working in CAPF and their families will receive free healthcare services. In addition, these services will be completely paperless, freeing them from paper-based processes. This project will cover all the seven forces of CAPF, including the Assam Rifles, BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, NSG, SSB, and their families.

+ How do you get Ayushman CAPF card?

Beneficiaries may collect the Ayushman CAPF e-card by the respective forces. For availing cashless healthcare services, the card may be activated at empaneled private hospital, after beneficiary verification using copy of Force ID and Aadhaar or Government approved photo ID. This is one time activity.

+ How do I know if my Ayushman card is activated?

The Ayushman CAPF e-card obtained from the empanelled hospital is activated by default. The physical cards would need to be activated at an empanelled private hospital, using a copy of Force ID and Aadhaar or Government-approved photo ID. You can check Ayushman Bharat Card Status using the Official Website pmjay.gov.in by login in using your Mobile Number and then clicking on pmjay.gov.in Status Button.

+ What is my HHD number?

The HH ID or HHD number (Household ID number) is provided to families identified under the SECC, contains 24 digits, and is also used to identify the beneficiary.
